Multi-animal Monitoring System

SA Instruments, Inc. has developed a system to simultaneously monitor and gate multiple animals undergoing MR examination. The system acquires ECG, respiration and temperature measurements for up to 19 channels. All measurements are amplified, digitized, multiplexed and transmitted on a single fiber optic cable out of the MR magnet bore to a PC Interface Module. A PC provides for system control by the user as well as display of measured values, waveforms and gates.

We offer multi-animal monitoring and gating systems configured to accommodate up to 4, 7 or 19 animals.
 
The first system, configured to accommodate 19 mice, was delivered to the Mouse Imaging Centre at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto in the Fall of 2007.
