Respiratory Gating
Cine of the abdomen of a mouse obtained using
SAII's P-resp™ (respiration from a pneumatic pillow) respiratory gating.

Note the motion of the abdomen and the motion of the heart as the diaphragm moves with respiration. Movement of the heart leads to significant blurring of cardiac gated images if they are not respiratory gated as well.

Either of SAII's respiration measurements (E-resp™ from the ECG lead or P-resp™ from a pneumatic pillow) can be used to obtain improved cardiac image quality.
